Fayette Chamber Business Expo

I met so many people at the expo! Thanks to every one of you that stopped by, especially those that expressed admiration for my photography. I work hard at it, and those compliments really go a long way toward making it worth the work. So I had way too much stuffed into my little space, but it was great…It doesn’t seem to matter how much space I have, either at a show or at the studio. It’s never enough.

This Is It!

I was invited to photograph the ground breaking ceremony for the new This Is It! restaurant in East Point. Mr. & Mrs. Anthony are opening a new restaurant, and I know it will be as good as the others. If you get to the southside, find one of these places and get some very good bbq, and some great seafood. This was really a celebration. A testimony to God’s faithfulness to His people. The ground was blessed, with prayers being offered up that someone might come to know Jesus through this project, and through the restaurant owner’s, and employee’s witness for Him.

Love Reunited.

I shoot for Operation Love Reunited from time to time. This past Sunday morning at Hartsfield Daniel came home for an 18 day leave. His wife Mandie was anxious to see him again.

He’s been gone 8 months, and will be gone another 7 months serving in a combat unit.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Portrait Fundraiser

Get the word out! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month!

My Grandmother, Marie Winkle, went through the struggle of cancer twice. She beat it the first time, having had a double mastectomy, and lived for another 30 or so years. She suffered a stroke in 1991, passing away in June of 1993 after the cancer returned. This was a great woman. I miss her terribly even today, 14 years after her passing, and want to do something to honor her memory. Photographs of her are precious to me, and I want others to have that as well.

A friend from South Dakota held a promotion like this earlier in the year to raise money for her local cancer society,

with great success. I believe we can do the same (or better!).

It will work like this –

On October 18, 19, and 20, 2007 I will be making photographs of cancer survivors, or those going through that struggle even now, with their friends, families, or even alone in return for a $10 donation. Each person photographed must make a $10 donation to the American Cancer Society, and will receive a 5×7 print from this photography. All money will go to the cancer society. The prints are my gift to you as a thank you for your donation.

To make your reservation call 678-817-6569.

I expect to fill the times quickly, as I know that this cause is near and dear to a lot of you. I will have refreshments available, a sitting area for you to rest a bit, and fellowship with some folks you may meet while you are here. I will have space for approximately 75 of these sessions, so if you want to support the American Cancer society and honor your family member or friend in this way, call soon to schedule your time.

Rachel Trammell…Class of 2008

Rachel came by to have her senior portraits done on Saturday. We had great plans to go to Turnipseed’s to use the awesome outdoor settings there, but it rained on us. We did get a few done in my outdoor area, and thanks to Rachel being up for shooting in a light rain, we got some great stuff. Just a few from her day with Turner Images…

And she let me use my new ringlight on her. I made this for a fashion look, and Rachel was the right candidate for it’s first time out. We’ve got a great deal going right now, and to tell the truth, I’m not sure how long I’ll do it. Refer anyone to Turner Images and get a $10 Starbucks or iTunes giftcard. Hey now, that’s a good deal!
