Lucinda Westrick found me through Operation Love, and asked if I’d be interested in doing something a little out of the norm. Well, I like being out of the norm, you know? So Sunday afternoon, we photographed about 40 soldiers, families, and children from the Echo 148 GNG FSB, that is deploying early January to southern Afghanistan. They had a Christmas banquet hosted by Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, complete with Santa. I need to say a big “Thank You!” to Mike Tucker of Mike Tucker Photography in Anderson SC, who also set up a photographed with me, and Kelly LaBruyere of True Expression Photography in Atlanta GA, that kept us straight and organized with all the people wanting to be photographed. Lucinda Westrick is the contact person there with the unit, and she is a worker! This thing was put together in about 3 weeks from what I understand, and was done well. Adam from Instaproofs has graciously allowed me to host the images on his system do the soldiers and their families can download them at no charge.
So a huge Thank You! to Lucinda for all of her work getting this thing together!
So a huge Thank You! to Mike Tucker and Kelly LaBruyere for all of their help in getting all of these folks photographed!
So a huge Thank You! to Hebron Baptist Church for volunteering the space for the event.
And a even bigger Thank You! to the men and woman of GNG Echo 148 that are headed to Afghanistan to serve and protect our country, and their families that are sacrificing here while their loved ones are away.
