The Chris White Band was at our church last night. we have a group of 41 students we are hosting while they do some ministry work in south Atlanta. Add that to the 125 or so we normally have on a Wednesday night, and we had a good group. Some random images, with more on FB if you want to see.

SWPJC

So I’m headed over to Fort Worth next month for the Southwest Photojournalism Conference to be held at the Southwest Baptist Theological Center’s Riley Leadership Conference Center. It is sponsored by the Christian’s in Photojournalism. I have been to this event twice, but not for about 2-3 years now. It’s an awesome time of celebrating our God with some very talented photojournalists. Now, these aren’t photojournalist’s like you are used to seeing by now in the wedding world. These are the real deal, doing nothing more than journaling the area or event they are in through photography. The images are sometimes inspiring in their grandeur, showing our world from vantage points I’ve never seen. Some though, are heartrending, showing us the needs, from here in the US to around the world in places I’ve never heard of. Even now before I go I’m already beginning to feel that longing I always get to go, and do this photography myself. God has given me a talent with a camera, and I am aware that He gives us tools in order to use them for His purpose. So I’m questioning myself, “Am I using this talent for His purpose? Or am I too wrapped up in mine?” I love this studio. I’ve had it for 14 years now. Would I be willing to give it up if He asked? Honestly, I don’t know.

New Covenant to Slovakia

New Covenant is our HS student ensemble at FBCJ. They took a trip to Slovakia last month to share the gospel through song. These are some images from the trip. I didn’t get to go on this one, so these are from my daughter Sarah. She’s something else, and I’m about as proud of her as I can be.

Love Reunited.

I shoot for Operation Love Reunited from time to time. This past Sunday morning at Hartsfield Daniel came home for an 18 day leave. His wife Mandie was anxious to see him again.

He’s been gone 8 months, and will be gone another 7 months serving in a combat unit.

International Missions Festival

We had our FBCJ Missions festival last Sunday. I love these, because every nationality and culture makes sample foods from their home country. Spanish, Mexican, Romanian, Laotion, Korean, Cambodian, Indian, American, and I’m sure I’m forgetting others.
